This elegant necklace is made of teal Japanese Chiyogami Paper featuring parasols. This is a traditional type of paper from Japan, meaning "thousand generation paper." It was first developed in the Edo period (1603-1868), used for decorating tea tins. This paper is made from the inner bark of the sustainable Kozo plant.
