This is one of my most popular necklaces! This bold necklace is made of black and white floral paper and has fun red-orange paper on the back. Japanese Chiyogami Paper is a traditional type of paper from Japan, meaning "thousand generation paper." This type of paper was first developed in the Edo period (1603-1868). It was originally used for paper dolls, or pasted on tea tins. This paper is made from the inner bark of the Kozo plant, and is hand silk-screened.
